1. Who can join

Anyone 18 or older can join the American Utility Review (“AUR”) Referral Partner Program. Organizations can join too: school clubs and booster groups, PTOs, scout troops, churches, charities and businesses. An organization signs up through an adult representative, and its rewards are paid to the organization. AUR may decline or close any partner account.

If you work for a public entity (such as a school district, city, county, state agency, or public hospital or university), you can’t personally earn a reward for referring the entity you work for. A club, booster group or other organization you belong to can, with the reward paid to the organization.

2. How referrals are credited

A referral is credited to you when an organization requests a bill review through your personal link within 90 days of opening it, on the same device and browser. If an organization was already in contact with AUR, or is referred by more than one partner, AUR decides credit in good faith. You may refer your own business or an organization you own; the reward is paid the same way.

3. Rewards

You earn a referral reward when a referral becomes an AUR client and AUR has received the client’s payment. Rewards are paid by a method AUR chooses, normally within 30 days of AUR being paid. The reward amount in effect on the date of the referral applies. AUR will ask for a completed IRS Form W-9 before paying you and may issue a Form 1099 as the law requires. You’re responsible for any taxes on your rewards.

4. How you may promote AUR

• Always tell people you may earn a referral fee. The ready-made messages on your dashboard include this.
• Only describe AUR’s services truthfully. Don’t promise specific savings or refunds, and don’t say you work for AUR.
• No spam: follow anti-spam and texting laws, and only contact people you know or who have agreed to hear from you.
• Don’t bid on AUR’s name in search ads or create sites or accounts that look like AUR’s.

5. Ending the program

You can leave at any time by emailing us. AUR may change or end the program, or cancel rewards obtained through fraud or a breach of these terms. Rewards for referrals that became clients before a change will still be paid.

6. Privacy

We use your details only to run the program and pay rewards. Your dashboard shows the organization name and status of your referrals, but not their contact details or bill information.
